Abundant and qualified human resources
Bac Giang province is entering a period known as golden population structure. The province has over 1.6 million people; of which, about 1 million people are at the working age, accounting for about 63%.
In order to improve the quality of human resources, on 28 October 2011, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province issued the Decision No. 1531 / QĐ-UBND approving the planning of human resources in the province by 2020. Accordingly, the province is striving to increase the rate of trained workers to 50% by 2015, and to 701% by 2020. In particular, the percentage of workers undergoing vocational training reached 37% and 55% in 2015 and 2020 respectively. The percentage of trained workers reached 50-55%, 90-95% and 60-65% in the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fisheries; industry; construction respectively.
Therefore, the rate of trained workers considerably increased. While it was just about 25.1% in 2000, the proportion of trained workers increased to 50.5% in 2015 and is expected to reach 70% in 2020.
The number of students who study in colleges or universities against ten thousand people reached from 250-300 students in 2015 and from 400-450 students in 2020. Specially, the rate of trained workers increased most significantly, reaching nearly 42% in 2015.
With the above-mentioned potentials and advantages, Bac Giang has created a breakthrough in training, provided abundant and qualified human resources for the domestic and foreign labor market for the successful implementation of the key tasks of socio-economic development strategies set out by the 18th Provincial Party Congress.
