The leader of the Guangxi Department of Commerce (China) said that now the customs clearance capacity of the border gates to China has been increased. Coordinate with leading importers and retailers to organize weekly programs including many activities to promote lively lychee, increase interaction with customers, contribute to increasing experience and encouraging consumption. Actively coordinate with Bac Giang province to bring export and lychee processing business delegations to participate in specialized fairs in Bangkok and other provinces and cities to connect supply - demand and seek market expansion opportunities.

In the opening speech at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan affirmed that, in order to achieve the best quality of lychee ever, right from the beginning of the litchi crop, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has directed the departments to, branches and localities focus on supporting, guiding and advising farmers on cultivation techniques and fertilizing lychee; expand lychee growing areas according to VietGap, GlobalGap, organic lychee standards; instructions on the use of guaranteed plant protection drugs.

At the same time, the province directs drastically to strictly implement regulations on prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the process of fertilizing, harvesting and transporting lychee; ensure and commit to the brand and quality of Bac Giang lychee products that are safe for domestic consumers and for export.

Committed to creating all favorable conditions for lychee consumption

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said that over the past time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has always accompanied localities to promote connection activities and promote the consumption of agricultural products to the harvest in the whole country and international market. In which, taking the domestic market as the foundation, developing exports in a sustainable way. With the policy of diversifying forms of consumption, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has directed its units to closely cooperate with related agencies, organizations and businesses, expand traditional and modern distribution channels, focusing on exploiting online channels, e-commerce for agricultural products on the domestic market.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai also affirmed that the ministry will also continue to coordinate and support Bac Giang province in domestic and international markets, and support updating information on import-export policies, and standards, regulations, and consumer tastes of import markets.

In the long term, to implement radical and sustainable solutions, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will also coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, relevant ministries, branches and localities to have policies and mechanisms to encourage formation and replication of the agricultural value chain model from production to consumption in association with market demand, produce according to planning, quantity and quality of agricultural products, attracting the participation of stakeholders forming a value chain from manufacturers to distribution systems, processing and exporting enterprises, and business support organizations, contributing to bringing Vietnamese agricultural products further in the international market.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade added that the development of deep processing to diversify products and add value to lychees, improve the ability to meet regulations, quality standards, food hygiene, national and international social and environmental responsibility standards are strategic steps that need to be continued with the persistent and persistent efforts of Bac Giang province as well as the cooperation of ministries and sectors and the ecosystem that Vietnam's agricultural industry is aiming for.
