Bac Giang: In the first 3 months of the year, the average consumption index increased by 3.46%

In March 2022, the consumer price index of Bac Giang province increased by 0.93% over the previous month, by 3.89% over the same month last year. Accumulated average consumption index in 3 months of 2022 increased by 3.46% compared to the average of the same period last year.
Educational products is one of the 10 commodity groups with an increase in the price index.

Among 11 main groups of consumer commodities and services, there are 10 groups of increased prices and 1 group of reduced prices. Specifically, the group of commodities with an increase in price index are: Beverages and tobacco, up 4.04%; Garment, hats and footwear increased by 1.07%; Housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 5.43%; Appliances and household appliances increased by 3.61%; Medicines and medical equipment by 0.17%; Traffic increased by 19.60%; Post and telecommunications increased by 3.18%; Education increased by 1.83%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 5.03%; Other commodities and services increased by 1.54%. The group of commodities with the decrease in price index was:  Food stores and catering decreased by 1.06%.

The reason for the increase in the prices of commodities and services of the commodity group is the increase in petrol and oil prices, which has an impact on the overall CPI increase.

It is forecasted that in the next month, a number of petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gold prices and the US dollar exchange rate will continue to fluctuate according to the impact of the world market, the pandemic, natural disasters, affecting the market situation and groups of traffic and services...

The current Covid-19 pandemic in the province has been basically controlled, restaurants, catering service have been reopened with 100% capacity. It is forecast that the group of food and catering services will increase slightly.
