This year, the total area of ​​lychee production in Luc Ngan district is 17,360 hectares, including 4 thousand hectares of early-ripening lychees and nearly 13.4 thousand hectares applying VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. Fresh lychee output is estimated to reach 50 thousand tons. As of June 11, 2024, the entire district has harvested and sold more than 25 thousand tons, reaching 50.06% of the plan. Of which, early ripe lychee accounts for nearly 18.8 thousand tons. The main lychee harvest is more than 6.2 thousand tons.

There are 32 purchasing points in the area and 28 Chinese traders are promoting local lychee consumption. The whole district has 5 foam box production facilities and more than 30 ice production facilities for export packaging. The selling price of foam boxes, industrial ice, and packaging is stable with no fluctuations.

Currently, nearly 12 thousand tons of lychee have been exported to foreign markets and more than 13.2 thousand tons are for domestic consumption. U Hong lychee prices range from 25,000 VND - 45,000 VND/kg; Thanh Ha hybrid lychee and main-season lychee from 55,000 VND - 85,000 VND/kg (updated on June 11, 2024).

This year, the locality continues to focus on directing and supporting production to create the best quality lychee products, meeting domestic and export market standards. The harvesting and consumption of lychees in the district is going very smoothly, the selling price is high and fluctuates daily. Traffic and transportation of lychees is very convenient. Security and order related to lychee consumption in the district is guaranteed.
