Index of industrial production is 119.3% over the same period (same period is 116.2% in 2015); Of which, the manufacturing and processing industry equaled 121.2%, the water supply, waste management and treatment by 102.8%, and electricity and gas, steam and air conditioning manufacturing and distribution by 109.3%, mining by 65.4%.

The value of industrial production in 6 months (comparative price) reachesabout 33,775 billion VND, equaling 46.9% of the plan, up 19.3% over the same period. By sector, the state sector reached VND 1,815 billion, up 25.5%; The non-state sector reached VND5,705 billion, up 12.1%; Foreign invested sector reaches 26.255 trillion dong, up 20.6 percent.

2. Agriculture, forestry and fishery

Agriculture, forestry and fishery production is generally stable; production value (comparative price) reaches VND10,110 billion, gaining 52.9% of the plan, up 2%; Of which, agriculture reaches 9.19 trillion dong, up 1.7 percent, seafood up 485 billion dong, up 5.4 percent, forestry 445 billion dong, up 5.1 percent over the same period.

Total area of ​​winter-spring crop of 2016-2017 is 101,420 ha, equaling 97% of the same period. Lychee production in 2017 is estimated at 100,000 tons, down 48 thousand tons over the same period.

Total number of animals in the province is stable, cattle and poultry have increased slightly, pigs and buffaloes have decreased slightly over the same period. Total meat output was estimated at 135 thousand tons, up 6.5%, reaching 60% of the year plan.

Units and localities actively implement the plan of afforestation; At the same time, strengthening measures to protect and prevent forest fires. The province has planted nearly 5,150 ha of concentrated forests, equaling 79.2% of the same period, reaching 103% of the plan.

3. Trade, services, finance, banking

The service sector has achieved relatively high growth rate, the production value (comparative price) is estimated at VND 9,680 billion, achieving 40% of the plan, up 8.5% over the same period of 2016.

3.1. Trade and market activities

Stable market, CPI in May was 99.34% compared to April, up 1.24% compared with December 2016, June is expected to increase 0.12% compared to May. Trading activities still maintain a good growth rate, higher than the same period. Total retail sales of goods and services in 6 months were estimated at VND 10,625 billion, up 14.4% (same period increased 14%), reaching 48.3% of the plan.

3.2. Import , Export

Export growth in the first 6 months of 2017 is higher than the same period of the last three years. Export value is estimated at $ 2,700 million, up 33% over the same period, equal to 56.3% of the plan. Import value is estimated at USD 2,600 million, up 21.5% over the same period, equal to 50% of the plan.

3.3. Financial services, banking

Total mobilized capital reached 35,445 billion, up 10.2%; outstanding loans reached 33,930 billion, up 9% compared with 31/12/2016.

3.4. Travel services

The number of tourists in the first six months of the year was high, estimated at 830,000, 3.1 times as much as the same period last year, reaching 83% of the yearly target. Tourism revenue is estimated at 750 billion.

4. Regarding development investment

Total investment capital for development of the whole society is estimated at VND16,200 billion, increasing 18.2% over the same period, reaching 40% (increases 8.8% compared tosame period, reaching 38.7% of the plan).

Investment environment of the province continues to improve. Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in Bac Giang province in 2011 reached 58.2 points, ranked 33/63 provinces, up 7 degrees compared with 2015.

Attracting investment positive results, in the first six months of year, 106 new and additional registered investment projects with a total investment capital of US $ 1.67 billion, equivalent to 66.9% of the year target. Of these, 57 new domestic investment projects, equaling to 96.6%, registered capital of 26,485 billion, 2.8 times higher; 29 foreign investment projects, up 3.5%, registered capital over 512 million, increasing 60.3%.

The number of newly established enterprises increased relatively high compared to the same period. Since the beginning of the year, 578 enterprises and 61 branches and representative offices have been newly established, increasing 48.6%, total registered capital of VND4,430 billion.

II. Cultural – social aspects

1. Education and Training

The all level education universalization has been directed and maintained firmly, creating good conditions for improving the quality of comprehensive education. Physical facilities and teaching equipment are increasingly invested in the direction of standardization. School attendance rate was 84.8%, increasing 0.6%; 668 schools nationwide reach the national standard, accounting for 81.2%, increasing 1.2% over the same period.

2. The medical and health care to the people

In the first 6 months of the year, there were no serious epidemic diseases such as influenza A/H7N9, H1N1, H5N1, MERS-CoV, Zika .., infectious diseases were recorded lower and equivalent for the same period. No food poisoning occurs.

Actively promote the development of participants in health insurance in the province. Up to 31/5/2017, the number of people covered by health insurance is 1.479.374 people, reaching coverage rate 89.3%, exceeding 2.8% of the plan, 7.7% higher than the targets assigned by the Government.

3. Cultural, sportsactivities

Cultural and sport activities are organized in a wide variety of forms to meet the needs of the people. The eighth Bac Giang Sports and Gymnastics Congress, 2017 was implemented as planned. As of 05/6/2017, there were 217/230 communes, wards and townships successfully organized the Congress. Gymnastics, reaching 94.3%; Successfully organized the 7/15 subjects in the Congress include: Ethnic - Freedoms, Traditional Martial Arts, Cross Country, Push Sticks, Shuttles, Table Tennis, Scissors. High achievement sports achieve positive results.

4. Ensuring social security, taking care of the people's life

In 6 months, the province has trained primary and vocational level regularly for 7,861 people, reaching 27.6% of the plan.

Continue to focus on job creation, statistics on labor demand of enterprises, organizing job exchange sessions. Since the beginning of the year, 14,780 new jobs have been created (of which labor export is 1,850 people, accounting for 12.5%), reaching 51.3% of the plan, up 1.1% over the same period .

III. Interior field

1. The reception of people, the settlement of complaints and denunciations

The number of citizen reception and number of settlement cases was lower than the same period. From the beginning of the year to the present, the province has welcomed 2,862 turns of people (down 13.7% over the same period) to 2,027 cases (down 8.3%), 3,391 applications (decreasing 7,1%). The number of applications under the jurisdiction of all levels and branches was 1,398 applications, 1,165 applications were processed, accounting for 83.3% (up 1.3% over the same period last year).

2. Defense and security work, ensuring traffic order and safety

Defense and security work is well implemented. The work of ensuring traffic order and safety is highly concentrated.

In general, socio-economic situation of the province in the first 6 months achieved remarkable results, economic growth (GRDP) increased highest since 2010, industrial production and service growth is quite good; stable agricultural and forestry production; The investment environment has been improved and the investment attracted positive results.
