Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in promoting agricultural product consumption and cooperation in introducing environmental treatment technology.
Within the framework of the official State visit to the United States, on the afternoon of May 13, in Washington DC, USA, Mr. Phan The Tuan - Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee and the delegation of the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Conference "Vietnam - US Agricultural Trade Dialogue" organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Amcham.
At the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the People's Committee of Bac Giang province and Emission Resource Group Inc, USA on cooperation in promoting consumption of lychee and other agricultural products of Bac Giang province to the United States and cooperate in introducing environmental treatment technology in Bac Giang province in the period of 2022 - 2025.
Accordingly, the content of cooperation includes: Exporting agricultural products of Bac Giang province that meet quality standards and meet the regulations of the United States and other importing countries, especially lychee and other products, such as: Chu rice noodles, honey... to the US market and other markets with demand. Protect the environment in Bac Giang province by establishing an effective treatment plant for domestic, technological, medical, and hazardous wastes... with the most advanced technology of Emission Resource Group Inc., USA. At the same time, expanding cooperation in fields beneficial to the economic development of Bac Giang province as well as for Emission Resource Group Inc., USA and partners of Emission Resource Group Inc., USA.
Besides, within the framework of the conference, Bac Giang province displayed and introduced agricultural products of the province, including: Canned lychee pulp, canned passion fruit juice, Chu noodles, documents: Special handbook products of Bac Giang province, an introduction document about lychee and agricultural products of Bac Giang province to US partners. Agricultural products of Bac Giang province, especially lychee and lychee products, attract much attention from US businesses.

At the seminar, four cooperation agreements were signed between the parties, including: (1) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Sustainable Agriculture Development Partners with Pepsico and Care International on enhancing cooperation in food production in Vietnam; (2) MOU between Bac Giang province and ERG corporation on promoting trade of local agricultural products; (3) MOU between Moc Thinh Phat Furniture Production Joint Stock Company and Grasslands Farms on promoting trade in agricultural products; and (4) MOU between Nevist Vietnam International Import-Export Company and AGP on trade and investment promotion in the agricultural sector./.
